You are probably looking at it as a "Cumulative Display" which means that it'll show all the flows from previous date up to the date you are executing the report. Next to the variant button in the selection screen, there is an expand button. Click on it and scroll down, you'll see the following options: Cumulative Display, Delta Display and Delta Display with Balances. The Delta shows you the cumulative position only for that day. The Delta Display with Balances shows you only the position for that day and if there are any carry forwards from previous days it'll show in the top row as an open balance. I've normally set users to use Delta Display with Balances and mentioned that if they have an open balance row, that means that there may be some incomplete processes from previous days.
