Hi Taro,
Thank you very much for the detailed explanation.
I do have 2 GL groups (Subsidiary accounts and BCA Clearing accounts). I understand that when the subidiary company runs a payment run (F110) it generates a payment order to IHC. This payment order is posted in IHC creating a payment request and also decreasing the subsidiary's BCA account while increasing the BCA clearing account.
This BCA clearing account can be reconciled with the payment request.
A further payment run (F111) in the company code of the IHC generats an actual payment to the vendor at the same time clearing the payment request. This payment run will post to GL payment clearing account IHC and the GL Bank subaccount.
At the end of day, I run a background job chain (including GL transfer F9HI). The GL Transfer will result in the transfer of balances on the 2 GL groups to SAP Finance. One of the entry is to the GL payment clearing account thus clearing the entry posted by F111.
After GL transfer my BCA in IHC still remains with the same balances i.e.
BCA Clearing account +100.00
Subs BCA -100.00
This is where my problem is.
According to Eleazar Ortega Van Steenberghe in his book "Maximizing Cash Management with SAP ERP Financials" pages 238-239, after running the Payment Run F111 and GL transfers, the balance of the BCA Clearing account is initialized to 0.00. i.e.
At end of day I would expect the following balances:
BCA Clearing account +0.00
Subs BCA -100.00,
Could you please explain if my understanding is incorrect or should the contra of the Subs BCA remain reflected in the BCA Clearing account?.
Regards,
