Premature Settlement error

Dear Experts,

Premature settlement is possible for amount over and above the amount in original contract.

For example:

We have created a forward contract for USD 10000 and made a Premature Settlement for USD 5000.

Now we have a balance of USD 5000 in the original contract. But If we perform Premature Settlement for USD 6000, the system allows the creation of contract.

Why the system allows to make premature settlement exceeding the amount in the original contract? Instead it should throw an error message.
