Dear all,
We are in the process of changing our electronic banking interface from EDIFACT to CAMT53 statement which uses ISO Codes. Currently, we are using BAI codes based statement. In EBS configuration BAI codes (external Transactions) has been mapped to Posting rules.
Now for ISO Codes banks have provided a specification along with the ISO codes. Here I want to have advise on two things -
1. What should be our approach? Should we ask bank to provide one to one mapping of existing BAI codes Vs New ISO codes. In this case, configuration will be easy and can be done by adding ISO codes and related Posting rules. What should be done if bank does not provide this BAI Code=ISO code mapping? I believe than it is time consuming exercise, where we need to sit with business and bank to understand each ISO code and than map with appropriate Posting Rule? Has any one worked on this transition?
2. Looking at ISO codes specifications provided by bank, I observed that for each transaction, there are three codes provided i.e Domain, Family and Subfamily.... So in SAP, how they will be mapped because in SAP, in EBS configuration we have single external transaction code (usually in numbers) assigned to posting rules. How these three codes (Domain, Family and Subfamily) will be mapped for EBS postings
Does any one know if SAP support EBS based on ISO codes?
