Re: Foreign Exchange accounting in TRM

Dear Jaiin,

really grateful to you for sparing time to answer my confusions in details.

for question 2 & 3, i wish to highlight that we create 103 & 105 deal only in case there's part settlement e.g. if we have usdinr fwd of usd 1mn maturing on 31.08.2014 with final rate as 62 and if we need to take early delivery of usd 0.4 mn on 18.08.2014 we create 103 & 105 deals of 0.40 mn and capture all other details (spot rate, premium, liquidity, value date i.e. 31.08.2014 and contract date) from 102 deal. thereafter we cash settle 105 deal and we will put cash settlement rate as 62.50 (sum total of original final rate as 62 and swap points received let's say 0.50 paise).

i beg your help to have your opinion as to is there any other way to handle these transactions in more efficient way?

thanknig you in advance

Dear Kapil,

I looked into your issue, Its seems the process you are following is standard and SAP best Practice.

I'm not pretty sure whether you are following below process or not. Incase, No then please have a look below steps and let me know whether its helps.

You have a deal created for 31.08.04, need to settle early(Early Delivery), Please use FTR_EDIT  and enter company code and deal number(deal created for  31.08.2014) then select Premature settlement, it will automatically take the system for both transaction(103 & 105)

Rest process hold the same.

let me know in case you have any further query.

jain

Dear Jain,

we follow above process to create 105 & 103 deal. my specific query is

what date should be put in value date field of 105 & 103 deal, original value date (i.e. 31.08.2014 in above example) as has been put in 102 deal or the date of actual delivery (i.e. 18.08.2014 in above example).

Secondly what date should be put in contract date field of 105 & 103 deal, original contract date (i.e contract date put in 102 deal) or date when this early delivery swap points has actually been covered with counterparty (i.e. 18.08.2014 in above example)

thirdly, whether exchange rate break up of 102 (i.e. spot + premium + liquidity) should be replicated in 105 and 103 deal or not?

what is the SAP best practice for above three?

thanks / kapil

Hi Experts,

would be grateful if anybody can help to let me know which tcode can give me outstanding position as on any key date for products like 76A (options), 62A(Interest rate swap), 62B (Currency swaps) and 60A (forward contracts).

my tech guy suggested TPM12 but it only list outs deals and does not show outstanding amounts hence it becomes useless.

Thanking you in advance.

Before the check can be done, the Generate Utilizations transaction (tr. KLNACHT) must be used to generate an initial limit utilization.

Treasury Data Migration

Friends,

One of our client has decided to use SAP Treasury and Risk Management. I have been asked to lead data migration within this area. For the same, I would like to know the generally used and needed master and transaction data for SAP Treasury Management. Also, let me know the various ways of migrating data into SAP TRM eg. BAPI's, Transaction Manager, LSMW etc.

Regards,

Amey

Search for Business Object Type - BUS5* - there you can find all you need for TRM to create and manage your deals:

bapi.jpg

+ BUS2042    Financial Transaction

+ BUS1076    Financial Products

+ BUS1074    RedemptionSchedSet

+ BUS1064    RedemptionFactors

+ BUS1062    ExtSecurityAccStmnt

Also you can use BAPI from Business Objects to create LSMW Projects.

Here: IMG -> Financial Supply Chain Management -> Treasury and Risk Management -> Transaction Manager -> General Settings -> Tools -> Legacy Data Transfer  -> ... you can find all tools for Legacy data transfer.

Re: SAP Treasury - How to create taxes for Issuer

If i understand you right:

1. Taxes for BP can be configured with Derived Flows:

IMG -> Financial Supply Chain Management -> Treasury and Risk Management -> Transaction Manager -> Securities -> Transaction Management -> Flow Types (Transaction) -> Derived Flows -> ...

1a. Define Derivation Procedures and Rules

Let's create Derivation Procedure.

derproc.jpg

Now we have to assign Rules for our Procedure

We select original flow and it's direction

Then we create Derived Tax Flow.

Here we can use:

calculatioins.jpg

If we use Percentage Rate, we need to define rate in Percentage rate field.

If Calculation Procedure - we have to define Calculation Procedure (see. 1b)

derrule.jpg

1b. Define Calculation Procedure for Derived Flows

calcmethod.jpg

Here we can define currency and min/mas amount.

curdepend.jpg

Next step, to define amount limit (either min, or max) and calculatioins: Percentage rate, Fixed amount.

If you define Percentage rate calculation - define rate in Percentage rate field

If Fixed amount - define amount in Fixed amount field.

amountdep.jpg

Now assign Calculation method in Derivation procedure (see, 1a)

1c. Define Rounding Rules - here you can define rounding rules.

2. SAP menu -> Accounting -> Financial Supply Chain Management -> Treasury and Risk Management -> Business Partners -> Special Functions -> Standing Instructions -> transaction TBI7 - Derived Flows

And the last step - assign derived procedure to Business partner using TBI7 transaction.

Select either transaction (100 Purchase), or product type (01A Stocks), or product category (Stocks), or Instrument (Security) and then assign Dervied Procedure

assign.jpg

That's it, when you create Purchase of Stocks you will see 0308 tax flow near 0120 flow.

Hi,

Below are the steps for defining busines partner

>Business Partner Number Ranges

IMG->Business Partner->Relevant Settings for Business Partner->Number Ranges->Business Partner Number Ranges

>Define Groupings and Assigning Number Ranges

IMG->Business Partner->Relevant Settings for Business Partner->Number Ranges->Define Groupings

>Assigning Account Group to Vendor

IMG->Business Partner->Business Partner Vendor->Number Assignment: Assign Account Group to Vendor

>Vendor Roles

IMG->Business Partner->Business Partner Vendor->Vendor Roles

>BP Role

Comes predefined TR0150 for Issuer

You can do business partner integration with customers as well. check Business Partner Creation Error

Hope that helps

Jyoti

Hi,

For one of my clients we did data migration using BDC's and finally running tbb1_LC to mark all deals as posted till that day.

These BDC's after legacy data transfer can even be used for normal creations by business.
