Re: Withholding Tax in TRM

Hi Vishal,

Firstly you have to maintain the WHT as the Derived flow of the Main Interest Flow so that same is reflected in the deal. 1 IMG setting and and BP level setting has to be done for this.

Then please create BOA as Business Partner and maintain WHT table for BOA.

Now in your deal when you can maintain the BP for each Flow Type  (in your case the WHT flow  ) by maintaining the Payment Detail in Payment Detail Tab for particular flow with direction and Bank and BP detail.

See the screens below:

Main BP is 30000000 (SBI in your case)

and then maintain BOA(BP5 here) as BP in the Interest Flow Type.

Let us know if it solved your Issue.

Cheers !!!

Aditiya

Hi,

there is no standard transaction can fix the business. If you do not want post the other flows, maybe you can set the update type of these flows to 'not relevant for posting' in customizing.

Biao

Many thanks,

Hello Cris,

Please have in mind that this error message in FNRA may have various causes, nevertheless, the Account Determination may be checked in the following SPRO path:

SAP Customizing Implementation Guide

SAP Banking

Loans Management

Functions

Accounting

General Ledger Update

Control Automatic Determination of Account Assignment Ref.

I hope this helps.

Hello, Daniel,

How are you?

I have been looking in IMG ->SAP Banking -> Loans management -> Trans. management -> Update Types -> Define Update types to Usage types (only MM1100-, I don't know if would be necessary MM1100+)  and --> Assign Loan Flow types to Update Types (here, the scren is empty, wouln't have any configuration?

In the way that you send me it seems that there is any error in configuration.

Which would be the other causes for this message? How could I fix that?

Thanks in advance for your any help.

Cristina.

Hello, Juerg,

How are you?

My user obtained the same error FTR_GUI608 because she reverse two times.

The product has two taxes (IOF - that she reversed two times) and IRRF that needs to be paid.

She used TJ05 and TPM10 to reverse IOF.

What I must do to post IRRF (a kind o f tax in FI), it is not being posted because the error FTR_GUI608.

How can I fix that?

Thanks in advance,

Cristina.

Hi

Sorry for late reply on your suggestions.  It will work if the interest is being calculated on one maturity.  It may not work if we have multiple maturities with different interest rates.  Let me explain with our old example:

1st installment - 1/1/2014 to 01/01/2015 for $25m @ 5% interest

2nd installment - 1/1/2014 to 01/01/2016 for $35m @4% interest

3rd installment - 1/1/2014 to 01/01/2017 for $40m @4.5% interest

Let us say the first interest due date is 7/1/2014 and you will pay $2.225M as calculated below:

Interest on 1st installment (1/1/14 to 7/1/2014) @ 5% on $25m for 6 months - 0.625M

Interest on 2nd installment (1/1/14 to 7/1/2014) @4% on $35m for 6 months - 0.700M

Interest on 3rd installment (1/1/14 to 7/1/2014) @4.5% on $40m for 6 months - 0.900 M

I am not sure how we show all these 3 interest calculations against one total interest amount?

Could you please suggest me?

Thanks and Regards

Ashok

Hi Anil and Ashok,

@Anil - I totally agree that most of the inputs are manual, though this is the price for the flexibility. regarding copying of deals - such functionality is not available off-the-shelf. probably, you might consider copying and modifying some standard  BAPI's, used for (Treaseury deals) data migration - depends on approach and volumes (numbers) of transactions - if there are few, manual process might be a better option due to time frame required.

@Ashok - to be honest, despite the fact that using 54A manually you can simulate also the scenario according to your last description, however I see certain contradictions between your stated requirements. By saying that I mean that initially you've mentioned you have 3 different nominal amounts with different nominal interest rates and different maturities (end dates).  Now, you say that for the same period of time (1/1/14 to 7/1/2014) you have to apply 3 different interest rates - I'm sorry, but this seems at least strange, if we talk about the same contract concluded on the same day - usually, when you contact the bank in order to place a deposit or ask for a loan, they will give you a single quotation for specific period, but not 3 of them.

If what you are saying is still the formal requirement of your Customer, than you should manually create respective interest flows, e.g. let's use 3rd installment as example - base amount of $40 mio from 1/1/2014 to 1/1/2017 with interest rate of 4.5% - if interest repayment frequency is 6 months, then you need to create X6 interest flows (2 items per year for 3 year) - make sure these interest periods are consistent from the beginning to the maturity, there are no overlaps and gaps in between. in this case, you will get 3 interest cash per specific maturity date, though their total amount should be equal to total amount expected.

hope this will help you.

Kind regards,

Renatas

Hi

Thanks for your reply.  Yes. there are 3 maturities with different principal amount and interest rates and matures at different periods.  I totally agree to have one interest flow if the interest payments are at the end of the maturity.  But, the biggest problem is that the interest should be paid for every 6 months.

I totally agree with your suggestion that it should be manually entered for each maturity for every 6 months a interest flow.  But, as mentioned earlier, it is a debt issue with 30 years of maturity period and may have around 30 maturities.  In that scenario, the last maturity will have 60 interest flows to be entered and 29th maturity will have 58 interest lines and so on...

Do you have any other alternative through development.  I am thinking of a development to call the interest calculations screen instead of the standard screen where you can enter only for one base amount.  Instead, it should have multiple base amounts with multiple interest rates.  Do you think that it is feasible?

Thanks and Regards

Ashok

Manage Letter of credits without GTS module

Hello,

We are currently deploying SAP financials for our business and would like to have the Letter of credit functionalities for payables and receivables.

Our scope does not include the GTS nor SD module.

Is there a way of having the Letter of credit functionalities with our actual scope?

Thank you for your expertise on this matter.

Hi Ashok,

to be honest, I don't have experience of creating additional logic in the deal entry process, as there were no need for that - at least until now I always used some standard financial instruments. though, in general, it should be possible to use some BAPI's or Customer exits to add your own logic into the process - then you need input from ABAP resources and thorough testing afterwards.

Kind regards,

Renatas

Hello,

How are you?

I am with a request that there is product that doesn't support contracts  with more than 2 years.

I need configure contracts with more than 3 years and I think that the original information was deleted of SAP.

If I use the configuration above, will it work? How can I fix that?

Thanks a lot,
