Please check if this issue exists for all the users. If you and most of the others are not facing this issue and only some set of customers are facing this issue, then most likely this issue could be due to lower SAP GUI version and patch level of those customers.

Message_Type_X Dump also occurs when proper date format is not maintained in SU01 transaction of the user who have faced this dump.

please goto SU01 and check the date format in the defaults tab. If there is any date format other than DD.MM.YYYY, please change that to this format to avoid this error.

well, I would actually suggest you to read a dedicated Section 6.3 Processing Payments in SAP treasury and Risk management (SAP Treasury and Risk Management (2nd Edition) - SAP PRESS Bookstore) if you have an opportunity, as it explains this process in details.

in brief, the process of payment processing could be structured like this:

  1. you post the respective flows from within the Transaction Manager (Transaction TBB1). Depending  on if you are using payment requests functionality or not, the Credit side of your outgoing flow accounting entry should be either posted to so called 'Clearing account for Payment Requests' (you check your setup on IMG -> ... -> TRM -> Transaction Manager -> General Settings -> Payment Management -> Payment Requests -> Define Clearing Account for Payment Requests) or to so called Bank subaccount (you check your setup on IMG -> ... -> TRM -> Transaction Manager -> General Settings -> Payment Management -> Payment Handling -> Bank Account Transfers -> Define Account Determination) - both of these - the Clearing account for Payment Requests and a Bank sub-account - they are kind of Open items and in principle are intermediary accounts, used in the payment process - separate from an G/L account, representing the actual Bank account;
  2. this step is relevant only if you use payment requests functionality - then you call one of payment programs (F110 or F111). The payment program combines payments in the best possible way according to your setup and as a result accounting wise, it create a posting that debits the account that was previously credited (the Clearing account for Payment Requests) and, in turn, credits a Bank sub-account;
  3. the last step - bank statement processing. It represents the confirmation of the actual payment. However, the bank statement is not automatically fed back into the Transaction Manager. If a payment differs from what you expected at the time of posting, you must correct the business transaction. Accounting wise, when the bank statement is posted, in the selected case, the Bank sub-account is debited, while the actual Bank account is credited.

that kind of approach (vs Direct posting into Bank G/L account) is used for the simple purpose - it allows you to guarantee, that the balance your G/L, representing Bank account, in your books will always match actual figures in the Bank statement.

hope this will help you.

Kind regards,

Renatas

EBS - Electronic Bank Statement Multiple Posting Rule for One External Transaction Type NTRF

$

hello SAP Gurus,

I'm configuring EBS - Electronic Bank Statement. My requirement is for Bank External Transaction Type NTRF <for Incoming Payment> I want to assign 2 posting rules for Posting Area 2 that is Sub-Ledger posting viz. <1> For the payments received from Customer which should clear the Customer Open item since it is bill to bill exactly matching the open line item and <2> For the payments which should not clear the Customer Open item since i know that they are not bill to bill and only partial against the original line item

Is this possible? if yes then how?

Currently, SAP allows only one assignment like one external transaction type NTRF => one Posting Rule <either clear the sub-ledger-system picks FB05 or just post on Sub-ledger so that not to clear - system uses FB01 >

Journal for Posting Area 2:

Bank Clearing Account Dr

   To Customer Account Cr  <either set this to clear with original invoice / or just post on customer so as to clear/handle it manually later on once paid fully>

So, what is the solution; how can i differentiate my incoming whether fully payment or partial payment; since bank statement always tag it to external transaction type NTRF always for any incoming payments !

regards,

`raj.

Re: Derived Business Transactions vs Valuation

Hi All

I have searched the forum many times but unable to find the solution. Kindly provide the reason for the below issue.

I have created a Money Market Contract for Product Type 55A. I have used flow type 1105 for borrowing 1,00,000 USD @50 Exchange Rate on 01.05.2013. When I am paying an installment of 20,000 USD @ 55 Exchange Rate on 30.08.2013, System should calculate Rs 1,00,000 as Forex Loss (planned outflow). But the system is breaking this as below fig.

Contract Error.png

I am using Position management Procedure (PMP) as 2500(Money Market: Mark-to-Market (FX / P/L))

and in step only using "Type o step" "5". and procedure 1000( Mark-to-Market (P+L)). Then why the system is calculating Security Loss of 170.75 USD and 9,391.25 in INR.

Kindly provide the solution for this as urgent basis.
