How does Lockbox matching work?

$

Hi All,

We use FEBA to upload our locboxes. I am trying to understand how SAP matches a payment with an open item. I understand that it find the customer with the MICR information, but how does it find the invoice to clear? I looked at the search string and posting rules config for EBS and couldn't really understand it. How does SAP know to match the assignment field, invoice number or reference etc?

Thanks!

I guess you've posted this in the incorrect place. Please post this question under SAP ERP Financials directly, since Lockbox would be FI-BL-PT-US, not Treasury.

This should help you to find an Expert faster.

Hi,

FEBA is not used for importing lockbox files. Use T-code FLB2 for uploading lockbox and FLB1 for post processing function.

Here accounting entry will be

Lock Box Clearing account

    To Bank Clearing account

And

Bank Clearing Account

    To  Customer account

Once you upload EBS(Electronic Bank Statement) file into SAP then entry will be as below.

Main bank account

   To  Lock Box clearing account

I have attached the file, the first picture is after I run credit limit utilization report, if I divide 80999.14/1000000=0.08, it is not credit limit utilization rate 90% indicated in "% limit" column, also the 90% is indicated in the second picture, can anyone explain the inconsistency?

price determination after historical simulation

I am confused about price determination after value at risk historical simulation run, my evaluation day is 2014.March.31, for commodity forward, the floating leg is based on price 42.17286 (the eighth shift for VaR calculation, my holding period is 10 days), which is shown in the attached picture, but my commodity price curve is showing 41.***,if I click "commodity price" under calcuation basis tab, it shows in March.31.2014, my commodity price is 41.57 USD. thus I will like to know how 42.17286 derived, is it from commodity price curve or commodity price? at which point of time? and the difference between commodity price curve and commodity price, if in March.26 , commodity price curve show 42.68, but commodity price shows 41.57, is it inconsistent?

IHC interest accrual calculation for subsidiares

When interest accrual calculation is done in IHC (F993), the transaction F9HI (FI transfer) posts these amounts in the FI of the company that holds IHC.

Our customer wants that the corresponding amount (with opposite sign) is transferred to the FI system of the subsidiary.

Did you have ever had any similar request?

(the situation is different from interest calculation (F996 or F991) in which a single item corresponding to the interest amount is posted on the IHC account and then is transferred to the subsidiary via the IHC bank statement)

Thanks!

Hello friends

I am new to SAP and I am practicing myself. If I want to release BP release workflow, first I have to define release procedure.

FSCM – Treasury and Risk Management –

Basic Functions – SAP BP for FS – Settings for

Financial Services – Tools – Release –

Activate Release

In here I need to create release object ZGP. How can I do that?

When I search internet it says I have to create this thing by using BASIS.

Can somebody help me to do this..

Thanks & Regards

But i can't understood - is there any "what-if" analysis in TRM?

In-house cash (IHC) activation

Hi,

In tcode BF11 or table TBE11 there are activations to be performed for modules. The activation of value "IHC" is turned off right now in our SAP system, however, it seems that it was once active since the IHC options are reflected on the IMG menu.

We are implementing IHC module for the first time and we'd like to activate IHC using the tcode or through the table update as mentioned.

As such, I'd like to seek advice on the following:

1)  Supposed that IHC was once activated and then somebody turned it off, does this mean that it is still active? Will there be any problem when we want to set the check box for IHC even if it is active already?

2) What difference does it make when this value is reactivated?

Thanks in advance.

Alvin

How to handle case like Housing loan to pay the fix amount and system can deduct the principle and interest automatically in Treasury

Dear Treasury Guru,

I have one scenario from my client like a Housing Loan that the system can generate the principle and interest paid flow type automatically depend on interest and contract condition, I've never faced this scenario before so I'm not sure that Treasury can support or not.

for example : Loan amount = 500,000 USD, Fix amount = 50,000 per month, Interest rate = X%

                          Payment amount               Principle           |        Interest

1st month =               50,000           --->         15,000                      35,000

2nd month =              50,000          ----->        17,000                      33,000

3rd month =               50,000         ------>        19,000                      31,000

Please suggest how to let the system generate the Principle and Interest flow type folllow the example above.

Thanks

Hello Pongrapee,

I think apart from the interest condition, you need a condition for an annuity repayment with amount 50,000 - this will make sure the sum of interest and repayments are 50,000 for all periods.

If you leave the annuity amount blank, the system will calculate the annuity in a way that the sum of interest and repayments remain constant and all the nominal is repayed at the end of term.

But in both cases you will have to give the interest percentage in the interest condition.

Hope this helps!

Hi Alvin,

Yes it is essential to activate the module by activating it in BF11.

If a component is deactivated, all P/S modules of this component are automatically deactivated, too.

So if you want to re use then please activate although you see the IMG tree components live.

Hi Grigoiry,

Yes we can run What-If reports in using MRA. Please try T-Code JBRO , TV28  etc.

Let us know it helps.

Cheers !

Hi Robin,

%Limit Release is the "Critical Limit Utilization"  (will get alert after this limit is crossed) which you have defined in the 2nd screen.

It will always be 90% and is NOT the limit which you have utilized, for that you can only see the amount in the second last column.

Let us know if it helps !

Ref Interest Rate as of last day of the month !!

$

Hello folks,

Quick & Simple question:

Reference Interest Rates are only available as of LAST WORKING DAY of the month.

But for the loan instruments that require interest upto LAST DAY of the month requires the Ref Interest Rates to be available on that LAST DAY of the month.

TJ05 - Automatic update of Ref Interest Rate requires the rate to be available on Fixing day itself means as of  LAST DAY of the month while we only have rates as of Last Working Day of the month.

How is this handled OUT-OF-BOX in SAP?

At one of my client, they had the Ref Interest rate on Last Working Day populate the last day of the month too via a customization in the interface program that handled BB file.

Please advise!!
